Service Categories

Navigate to JoomBook → Services → Categories → New to create a new service category. Categories help group services in the booking wizard — useful when you offer many different services.
Fields
| Field | Description |

| Name | Display name of the category in the booking wizard. Required. |
| Colour | Display colour for this category. |
| Description | Optional description text for this category. |
| Image | Optional image for this category. |
| Status | Active or inactive. |
Assigning a Service to a Category
- Open the service under JoomBook → Services
- Switch to the Service Details section
- Select the desired category from the Category field
- Click Save
Categories in the Booking Wizard
When at least one category is created and services are assigned to it, a category filter appears in the booking wizard. Customers can use it to narrow down their selection.
Services without an assigned category are always displayed and cannot be filtered.
