Round-Robin Assignment

Pro Round-Robin automatically distributes incoming bookings evenly among all available staff members - without the customer having to choose a staff member.
This feature is available from the Pro Plan onwards.
Enabling Round-Robin
- Navigate to JoomBook → Settings → General Settings
- Navigate to the "Staff Assignment & Selection" section
- Select one of the Round-Robin variants under Default Staff Assignment Mode
- Click Save
Available Assignment Modes
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Round-Robin - least busy by day (recommended) | The staff member with the fewest appointments on the selected day is assigned. Recommended for day-based workload distribution. |
| Round-Robin - least busy by week | Even distribution across the whole week. Ideal when staff work on different days. |
| Round-Robin - least busy by month | Even distribution across the month. Useful when weekly schedules vary significantly. |
| Random | A random available staff member is assigned. |
| Customer must choose | The customer is required to select a staff member in the wizard. Round-Robin does not apply in this mode. |
Optional Staff Selection
You can combine Round-Robin with optional staff selection. The setting Show Staff Selection to Customers (also in the Staff Assignment & Selection card) controls whether customers can choose a staff member in the wizard. If the customer makes no selection, the configured assignment mode applies automatically.
Override Round-Robin per Service
The global mode can be overridden individually per service. Open the service under JoomBook → Services and choose one of the three service modes (Round-Robin, Random, or Customer must choose) in the Staff Assignment tab.
